This month saw the UK launch of Blyk, which, despite its lack of vowels, has nothing to do with the internet.
The European Aviation Safety Agency has given the green light for in-flight mobile phone technology to be used on aircraft, leaving us all with the prospect of wanting to kill the passenger next to us.
But how safe will it be and does the inevitable increase in air rage present the greater danger?
Having spent last weekend with the mud people of Glastonbury, I’m wondering how the ‘yoof of today’ could ever function without their mobile phones?
I’d expected that sharing one mobile cell with 180,000 people would make getting a connection pretty hit and miss, but Orange at least never let me down once.
